Now that Back to My Mac (aka BTMM) has been stripped from OS X with Mojave, I can no longer access any computers that are not on my local network using Apple Remote Desktop (aka ARD) nor Screen Sharing. I'm assuming the Bonjour side of OS X has been deprecated or reduced for Internet connections in Mojave.
I'm trying to access High Sierra computers (at my home office), from computers that have been upgraded to Mojave (in my work office), but I cannot see them ARD anymore. According to Apple, ARD and Screen Sharing will still work, but that does not appear to be the truth for computers located off-site and not on the local network in my office.

HOWEVER, I can remote into High Sierra computers using ARD and Screen Sharing with another High Sierra OS as I have always been able to do as long as both computers have Internet access and settings are correct for Remote Login and Remote Management are on and configured correctly.
Any suggestions for getting Mojave to connect to other Macs that are not on the LAN but have Internet access? I'm looking to get this working via OS X without 3rd-party options.
